The Six Objectives of Kiwanis

At the 1924 Kiwanis International Convention, Kiwanis delegates adopted six objectives, which have remained unchanged for over 85 Years. Over the years, members have have been clear that these principles are timeless.

The following are the six objectives of Kiwanis that serve as that guiding principles of our organization and offer a framework to live a fulfilling daily  of serves.  

 One - To give to primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than material values of life,

Two - To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationship,

Three - To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards,

Four - To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship,

Five - To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities,

Six -To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
